Things to Do in London – October 2025

October slows London down just enough for all of us to notice its beauty. The leaves change colour, nights stretch and the city hums with art, film and a quiet sense of celebration. It is a month when the city shifts tempo. Film enthusiasts queue in Leicester Square, artists gather in Regent’s Park and spiced cocktails fill quintessential British bars.

Here is a guide to experience it all, well, at least most of it:

Celebrate Black History Month (1–31 October)

Black Pride Month

Black History Month encompasses reflection and celebration through exhibitions, music and open conversations. You will find cultural pop-ups in Brixton and thought-provoking showcases at the Southbank Centre. You will feel a sense of pride, power and resilience running through London’s pulse.

Touchdown at the NFL London Games (5–12 October)

NFL London Games

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts the NFL London Games. You can expect roaring crowds, precision passes and an energy that will remind you why London’s sporting scene is as global as its brightening skyline. Cheer on your favourite US football team during this event.

BFI London Film Festival (8–19 October)

BFI London Film Festival

Now in its 69th year, the BFI London Film Festival is the UK’s biggest film event. It is an 11-day celebration of big and small films at venues in London, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will be able to spot a constellation of screens from Southbank to Soho. The late-night Q&As are highly recommended, as they feature upcoming filmmakers sharing interesting stories.

Sip Seasonally at London Cocktail Week (9–19 October)

This is one of the world’s largest cocktail festivals. You can enjoy new farm-to-glass creations, rooftop tastings and experimental pairings. The line-up also includes pop-ups, immersive activities and events and specially curated cocktail menus from 200 bars in London. £9 wristbands serve signature items and smaller tasters start from £6.

Halloween (31 October)
