Anne (Olivia Coleman) shields herself from all this politicking by surrounding herself with \u201cfavourites\u201d and this informal position becomes vitally important in itself. Rachel Weisz plays the Queen\u2019s confident and Emma Stone plays a fast-rising newcomer in this bawdy \u201cGirl-power with wigs\u201d look at pre-regency Britain.<\/p>\n

In The Round takes advantage of these attributes in order to stage a series of performances by up and coming songwriters as well as some seasoned performers. On the bill are Ana Moura, Gruff Rhys and Patti Smith.
